Mandarin-English XL, containing 166 lessons, is a 20-Unit, 701-page course. Although most courses typically contain 1 to 6 pages on each subject, Mandarin-English XL has 4-9 lessons or more on each topic. Each lesson has 4 pages of advanced information and usually takes 30 minutes to study. Mandarin-English XL is designed in a somewhat Pimsleur style but goes further than Pimsleur, by using pinyin and simplified Chinese, providing English translation of all words and sentences. Besides, the course is arranged according to logical order.
